- Plaint – Legal document through which, the grievances of the plaintiff are spelt out, as well as the possible causes of action that can arise out of the suit. A plaint that is presented to a civil court of appropriate jurisdiction contains everything, including facts to relief that the plaintiff expects to obtain.
2Written statement – It is a reply statement of the defendant in a suit specifically denying the allegations made against him by the plaintiff in his plaint. The provision regarding the written statement has provided in the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908. But not defined in CPC.
