Domestic workers are helpers who work in home or houses to make our work easy and they seems to be considered as savior for fastening daily works . As seen many time they come from backward area, backward caste and even their living conditions compel them to work as domestic helper even sometime to fill their r getting me for 2time .There is huge marginalization between the life what they live and the life what under the people as employee whom they works .one of main reason is illiteracy and the traditions of patriarchy and even some how it can be seen in some area because of child marriage ,even it’s not legal but then also it is practised so sometimes to get away from this also people starts working under someone and run away from their village in searching of employment .
So they are worker in home for domestic help which implies to have right to live and work with dignity and respect . Because it’s seen in many cases that employee usually don’t treat in a good way with their maid or servant ,sometime beat them and even if women or girls are working they are even sexually assaulted or harassed which make their life miserable and even after providing effort to work she is getting this in return even sometimes the wages also not been paid so for protection of everything there is legislation which securitizes everything and tries to take scope of every things under its legislation that is

Domestic Workers (Registration, Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2008 was introduced to regulate payment and working conditions and check exploitation and trafficking of women and other young household workers. Domestic workers are in the unorganized sector and unorganized, hence there are practical difficulties to cover them. Though applicable to both men and women, it assumes significance for women due to their presence in large numbers in the occupation.
Applicability of this act is whole to India and not applied to workers who migrated to other country for work ,and also gives restriction on child labour . For registration
provides that every domestic worker who has completed 18 years of age, but has not completed 60 years of age, and is engaged in any domestic work for not less than 90 days in the preceding 12 months, can be registered as a domestic worker.
The wages are governed under Minimum wages act and Section 23 of the Domestic Workers (Registration Social Security and Welfare) Act, 2008 mentions that any person who sexually harasses domestic worker or child will be punishable with imprisonment for not less than six months and which may extend upto period of 7 years or with a fine of Rs. 50000, or both. If there is any problem regarding any issue the complain can be file under District Board shall be constituted by Central Government or State .
